As the world marks the International Day of the Girl Child, calls are growing for leaders and policymakers to stop politicizing issues affecting girls and instead treat them as urgent human rights and development priorities. Speaking during a commemoration event in Kibra in Nairobi , members of the Polycom Girls Project urged government agencies, charities, and communities to take collective responsibility in ensuring every girl has access to education, health, and protection.
