President William Ruto has announced a major boost for Kenya’s creative industry. Ruto made the announcement while attending the Kalasha Awards ceremony at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi. The Kalasha Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in film, television, and creative fields, and is one of the most prestigious events celebrating arts and Culture in the region. Ruto The president announced plans to incorporate fully equipped audio-visual studios into all affordable housing projects, and pledged to increase funding for the creative sector to Sh1 billion.
