Retirement schemes association partner with Chiromo Hospital to cater for members' mental health

The Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes of Kenya (ARBS) has moved to secure the mental health and wellness of its members. Speaking during a partnership with the Chiromo Hospital Group, Chairperson Jane Nzau acknowledged the importance of mental stability among retirees, noting that it is just as critical as financial security, an aspect that has been overlooked for years. Dr. Vincent Hongo, Chiromo Hospital Group CEO, noted that about 14% of older persons are likely to face one mental illness or another. He said the partnership aims to provide a more holistic approach to the well-being of this demographic.
