UASU rejects government's offer to pay Ksh. 7.9 B in two installments

The Lecturers’ and University Staff Unions, UASU and KUSU, have rejected the government’s proposal to pay 7.9 billion shillings in arrears in two phases, insisting that the month-long strike continues. The unions say their members will only return to lecture halls once the arrears are cleared and the 2025-2029 CBA is finalized.
