Utumishi Fire Case I 8 Subject minors plead not guilty to 16 counts of murder

Eight Subject Minors of Utumishi Girls Academy have been remanded until Tuesday, September 22, 2026, pending bail ruling. The minors who on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to sixteen counts of murder are accused of causing 16 deaths on the night of Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Gilgil, Nakuru County. And as Ruth Wamboi reports, Kibera High Court Judge Diana Kavedza, has ordered the parents of the subject minors to pay for their counselling services for the next six months to help them cope while in the juvenile remand home.
