Ammunition recovered from a passenger bus along Thika-Garissa highway

A multi-agency security team has intercepted a passenger bus ferrying ammunition and government stores along the Thika-Garissa highway. Officers manning a roadblock at Kanyonyoo flagged down the bus belonging to Buscar Ltd, which was travelling from Lamu to Nairobi for routine inspection, before discovering live ammunition, two empty AK47 magazines and two machetes alongside a collection of government-related clothing items.
