Kenyans are being urged to take advantage of the ongoing rains to plant trees in homes, schools, churches and other available spaces. The calls were made during a large scale tree planting exercise at Kieni Forest Kiambu County where 30,000 seedlings were planted. At Wire forest Homa Bay County, a total of 6000 seedlings were planted and distributed to support restoration efforts and boost forest cover in the area.
