Flooding has become an annual crisis in many African cities. Now, scientists are warning that a strengthening El Niño could bring even more extreme weather across parts of the continent in the months ahead.  From Accra and Lagos in West Africa to Nairobi and Dar es Salaam in East Africa and Maputo and Lusaka in Southern Africa, heavier rainfall linked to a warming climate is colliding with rapid urbanisation, blocked drainage systems, and ageing infrastructure. Despite billions of dollars being invested in flood resilience, devastating floods continue to hit cities year after year. So why does this keep happening? And are African cities prepared for the next round of extreme weather? BBC News's Daniel Dadzie explains.
