The National Assembly has approved deployment of Kenya Defense Forces to support the National Police Service to calm down protests. MPs held a sitting this morning in camera and adopted the motion sponsored by Leader of Majority Kimani Ichungwa to deploy KDF until normalcy returns. The sitting also saw lawmakers altered their calendar for a recess until July 23rd 2024.
