It may have been a somber ceremony as mourners from all walks of life bid farewell to the late Raila Odinga, but it still did not lack its light moments. The lyrics of one of Raila’s favorite songs, Jamaican Farewell by Harry Bellafonte, resonated with the ceremony and when it was referred to by various speakers, the crowd almost instinctively responded with a standing ovation. As mourners dressed to the occasion dotting Nyayo National Stadium with the colours black for mourning and orange for his ODM party, speakers recalled their hilarious moments with Raila.
