Garissa county`s Audhaq clan has settled on Kenya's consul general to Tanzania Abdi Dubat as its preferred candidate for the county`s top office in the 2027 general elections. The Audhaq clan made up of seven sub clans endorsed the former principle secretary in the state department for East African affairs after dropping former governor Ali Korane and water resource authority CEO Mohammed Shurie.
