The education sector has received the lion’s share of the proposed 2025/2026 national budget, claiming 28% of the KSh 4.2 trillion budget. The Teachers Service Commission TSC leads with a staggering allocation of KSh 387.2 billion. However, the allocation of KSh 5.9 billion for administering national examinations and KSh 3 billion for the school feeding program has sparked controversy.
