Delayed VAT refunds

Trade and industry cabinet secretary Lee Kinyanjui says billions of shillings owed to businesses in delayed vat refunds are now threatening Kenya’s industrial growth and investor confidence. Kinyanjui says urgent action is needed to clear the backlog, describing the refunds as a major obstacle to job creation and new investments across the country.
