EACC recovers over Ksh 5.5 million, 13 vehicles, and half a billion in government securities

The ethics and anti-corruption commission (EACC) has recovered more than Ksh 5.5 million in cash, 13 vehicles, and investments in government securities worth over half a billion shillings during coordinated raids targeting senior officials in two key ministries. The raids, carried out across multiple counties, focused on top officers from the state department for sports and the state department for Asals and regional development, who are accused of colluding to embezzle millions of shillings in public funds through procurement fraud and abuse of office.
