Former DP Rigathi Gachagua urges youth to register as voters to drive change ahead of 2027 elections

Former deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is tonight, rallying the country’s youthful populace to register as voters in their numbers ahead of the next general election, if they are to achieve meaningful change, in their clamor for good governance. Gachagua who spoke at his party DCP’s youth league forum, argued that their current youth numbers in the country, are enough to send president William Ruto parking in 2027, and usher in an era of youth leadership that he says the country has for so long missed out on. The call by the DCP leader, comes as the independent electoral and boundaries commission revealed it was trailing far behind targets in the ongoing continuous voter registration, as youth keep away from exercise.
