Kenyans living in informal settlements have been urged to embrace the upgraded houses constructed by the government under the affordable housing project.Addressing the media on Friday, the Director Slum Upgrading Mary Ndung’u said they are currently constructing phase C which will have over 10,000 units as the social enumeration process of the beneficiaries is underway. She added that over 800 units and over 4000 units were built in phases A and B. The project which was known as Upgrading Kibera will now be referred to as Social Housing.
