KENYATTA FARM TITLE DEEDS
The government has moved to bring to an end the decades-long land ownership dispute at Kenyatta Farm, formerly known as Kihiu Mwiri, in Gatanga Constituency, Murang'a County, following the issuance of additional title deeds to residents. Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Public Works Alice Wahome presided over the issuance of 700 title deeds, saying the exercise is aimed at resolving the long-standing land ownership dispute that has persisted for decades. The Kihiu Mwiri land was purchased by the Kihiu Mwiri Farmers Company in 1965.
