Lecturers, government resume talks as Sh7.9 billion arrears offer reviewed

Talks have resumed between the striking lecturers and the government in a bid to broker a return to work formula. Union officials say the government appears to soften it's previous hardline stance, and are now offering to pay the lecturers' 7.9 billion shillings arrears in two phases. The lecturers unions say they will consider the offer with it's members before making a decision the fate of the now 44 day industrial action
