Migori Youth have gone three points clear at the top of the National Super League, with Mombasa United dropping to third after weekend matches that reshaped the league standings with six rounds remaining to the end of the season.
Migori Youth were forced to dig deep before seeing off MOFA 1–0 in a match played at Awendo Green Stadium. MOFA conceded an own goal from a free kick taken by Churchill Otieno in the second half. Migori remain top of the NSL on 58 points, three ahead of 3K FC and Mombasa United, who suffered a humiliating 3–0 loss away to Talanta FC.
3K FC beat Fortune Sacco FC 2–1 to dislodge Mombasa United from second place on goal difference. There are six more rounds to play in the NSL, with the top three teams earning promotion to the Kenya Premier League next season.
