Murkomen links ACK Witima church attack to political rivalry in Nyeri investigation

The government is tonight attributing the ACK Witima Church attack to political rivalry between leaders in Nyeri County. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, who appeared before the Senate on Wednesday, told the house that preliminary investigations by the Internal Affairs Unit of the National Police Service have so far not indicated any police involvement in the January 25th attack.As Kamau Mwangi reports, the Interior CS also faced tough questions over the continued use of face coverings by police officers during arrests and public order operations, despite a High Court ruling prohibiting the practice.
