Political leaders and government officials from the Nyanza region have commended area residents for ignoring calls to participate in Thursday’s protests, noting it showed a region that is ready for development. The leaders who congregated in Migori for a women's empowerment initiative called upon the locals to back President William Ruto’s re-election bid for continued universal development.
