President William Ruto now says he is ready to face the opposition head-on in the 2027 General Election, dismissing the rival camp as politically lightweight. Ruto, who is currently on a four-day tour of the Coast region, says he will continue traversing the country while rolling out development projects in a bid to foster national unity regardless of regional political affiliations. The Head of State was accompanied by several Coast leaders who also pledged to support his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 polls.
