SHA deal ends teachers’ strike threat, scraps co-payments

Tonight, it's a win for teachers as the government agrees to scrap tariff capping under the Social Health Authority, allowing teachers to access healthcare without limits or out-of-pocket payments. KUPPET has also moved to reassure parents and learners that schools will reopen as scheduled, dismissing strike threats raised by a section of union officials who had protested what they termed inadequate healthcare access under the SHA.
