Vuuka FM’s Casphine Oresi wins at third Kibali edition

Vuuka FM presenter Casphine Oresi was on Saturday night among dozens honoured at the third edition of the Kibali Awards, an event that celebrates gospel music and ministry across East Africa. Oresi was crowned regional presenter of the year at a colourful ceremony featuring high-energy performances from top gospel artists, including Tanzania’s Komando wa Yesu and 10-year-old Barney Kwatemba, the youngest gospel act of the night, who kept the crowd on its feet. Barton King bagged male artist of the year, while song of the year went to Chris Wekesa. State House Advisor on youth affairs Immanuel Mwita, who attended the event, said the government remains committed to supporting gospel artists across the country.
