Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has pledged government’s support to the local airline industry. Gachagua made the remarks at Wilson Airport in Nairobi when he saw off the inaugural flight by Skyward Express to Kakamega, less than a week after President William Ruto commissioned the newly rehabilitated Kakamega Airstrip. He revealed plans to rehabilitate more airstrips including Kitale, Homa Bay, and Marsabit to enhance connectivity.
