MPs retreat to discuss seven contentious Clauses on the controversial Finance Bill 2023

The National Assembly Finance and Planning Committee has singled out 7 clauses contained in the controversial Finance Bill 2023 for possible amendments, before tabling the bill in Parliament for its second reading on Tuesday. And as Seth Olale reports, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua sought to popularise the bill in the Mount Kenya region where he assured residents that the Finance Bill will be critical towards developing the region, with the Senate House Leadership urging the Parliamentary Finance Watchdog to consider the issues raised by Kenyans while compiling its report.
