Health workers' unions are blaming the government for what they term as being non-committal to negotiations to find an amicable solution to the ongoing nationwide strike. At a joint media briefing, the healthcare workers' unions said they have not received any official invite to the talks by the government aside from the pronouncements made in public rallies and threats. And as Kamche Menza reports, the healthcare workers faulted police Inspector General Japhet Koome’s directive on their protests and subsequently announced plans to hold peaceful demonstrations on Tuesday.
