Over 4,000 households have been displaced following heavy torrents pounding most parts of the country. The Kenya Red Cross reports nearly 20,000 households affected by the deluge, leaving devastation in its wake. Hard-hit areas include Nairobi, where rising waters along the Ngong and Nairobi rivers have resulted in flash floods, wreaking havoc in communities of Kware, Kibra, Viwandani, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, and Mukuru Kwa Reuben.
