Breathe Cities Initiative has embarked on a mission to reduce air pollution and planet-warming emissions by 30 per cent in Nairobi City by the year 2030. Being the third city in Africa after Accra and Johannesburg to join the environment program, Nairobi will receive an estimated 3.9 billion Kenya shillings to address critical air pollution challenges. This comes amid efforts to push for the formulation of climate change regulations that will help in the implementation of the Air Quality Act of 2022.
