Equity Group has recorded a twenty seven percent growth in its profit after tax in nine months to September 2022. The Group's net profit hit KSh 33.4 billion, up from KSh 26.3 billion reported during the same period in 2021. Equity Group Managing Director and CEO James Mwangi said that non funded income contributed 41% of the total income. The lender's interest income increased to KSh 59.8 billion, representing a 23.4% growth. Speaking at the investor briefing, CEO James Mwangi attributed the growth to customer centric products that have seen the lender hit a new milestone in deposits.
